Team Nigeria have once again written its name into the history books, clinching the 2025 FC Bayern Youth Cup title after a thrilling victory over Team Rwanda in the final. The showdown took place at the iconic Adi-Dassler-Sportplatz in Herzogenaurach on 16 and 17 October.
This marks Nigeria’s third triumph in the prestigious youth tournament, following their earlier wins in 2022 and 2023 — a testament to the exceptional talent, teamwork, and dedication nurtured by the VOE Foundation.

The FC Bayern Youth Cup, a cornerstone of the FC Bayern Pathway, has once again demonstrated why it stands among Europe’s premier youth football competitions. The 2025 World Finals brought together young talents from Argentina, Canada, China, Rwanda, Japan, Germany, Nigeria, and the USA, uniting diverse football cultures under one banner of excellence.
Club scouts at the FC Bayern Campus were also on the lookout for emerging stars. Ryuto Ono from Japan was crowned Most Valuable Player (MVP), earning himself a spot in the 2026 World Squad. Rwanda’s Alfa Nsengumureyi claimed the Best Goalkeeper award, while Japan’s Hiro Yokoyama walked away as Top Scorer with five goals.
Every participant was assessed and added to an international player pool, ensuring continued monitoring of their progress and potential inclusion in future Pathway projects.
After the intense competition, the young footballers enjoyed an unforgettable experience — watching Bayern Munich take on Borussia Dortmund in a Bundesliga clash at the Allianz Arena.
