Les Aiglons welcomes Victor Orakpo.

With great pleasure, OGC Nice announces the signing of 18-year-old Victor Orakpo, a striker from Nigeria.

Victor Orakpo, who was born on January 14, 2006, is now recognised as an Aiglon. One of the most promising young players in Nigeria and a player for the Super Eagles U20 squad, the 1.94-meter-tall striker has decided to advance in his career at OGC Nice after winning over the Rouge et Noir board during his trial. Orakpo said, “Joining the club is an honour.” I had a positive feeling right away. OGC Nice and I both have high goals, therefore I’m eager to work hard and demonstrate my abilities.

Victor’s arrival is welcomed as he was being pursued by several European clubs. “We extend our warmest welcome to him and will do all within our power to ensure his success alongside us,” stated Jean-Pierre Rivère, president of OGC Nice.

“Victor is a striker with considerable potential who is 18 years old,” stated sporting director Florent Ghisolfi of Le Gym. “We hope he becomes a key player for Le Gym in the years to come. He’ll start out with our Elite reserve squad, where we’ll try to put him in the best possible conditions and give him time to develop.”
