At the AXA Training Centre, the 21-year-old center back—who enrolled in the Academy at the age of five—committed his future to the team.
Quansah expressed his happiness to Liverpoolfc.com after writing the letter: “I couldn’t be happier at this minute.”
“I believe that the new manager’s approach and coaching style have played a major role in that, and I believe that this is the greatest club in the world for me to grow as a player and develop.”
“I believe the players surrounding me, who I want to pay close attention to and work hard for, are the best in the position right now. Thus, as I already stated, there’s probably nowhere better for me to be.”
The defender had a breakthrough season with Liverpool the previous season after rising through the Reds’ development ranks and earning invaluable professional experience while on loan at Bristol Rovers in the second half of 2022–2023.
Quansah made an impression on his debut in August 2023 when he came on as a substitute in an away victory over Newcastle United. By the end of 2023–24, he had made 33 appearances and received a Carabao Cup winner’s medal.
Before being named in the provisional squad for his senior national team’s Euro 2024 campaign, Quansah made his debut for the England U21s. He is motivated to keep up his impressive rate of development.
“I just want to take each step and every training session as it comes,” he said.
“As long as I maintain my laser-like focus on improving my performance on the training field, all I really want to do is keep attempting to do so. I simply want to keep improving, keep learning, and keep trying to get better and better by trying to pick up tips from all the experienced players. Since I have a lot of experience in my position, I’m trying to learn as much as I can from them every day.”
“Obviously, I want to push myself as well. I think that if we all work hard and create a good environment where we can all compete for spots, we’ll all improve as players and, in the end, as a team.”
